Sarajevo - Banja Luka
The Sarajevo-Banja Luka line is 191 km long, and there are four buses on it every day. The first bus of the day is the one from the Croatia Bus / Globtour carrier. The bus on that route departs from Sarajevo at 5:00 am to get to Banja Luka at 10:15 am. In addition to that, the said carrier has another line, during the afternoon. The time of departure of this line is scheduled for 4:30 pm and arrival at 9:45 pm.
The path in both cases lasts for about 5 hours and 15 minutes. On its way, the bus stops six times. Those stops are Zenica, Žepče, Maglaj, Doboj, Derventa, and Prnjavor.
Another carrier on the line is Babić-Bisstours. Its first line starts at 7:45 am and gets to the destination, ie at Banja Luka, at 12:45 pm. The journey to these two lines lasts exactly 5 hours. Despite this, by bus with this carrier, the bus stops at seven bus stops: Kakanj, Zenica, Žepče, Maglaj, Doboj, Derventa, and Prnjavor.

The Sarajevo bus station was built back in 1968 at the Put života 8. Despite the fact that it's fairly outdated, it offers everything you need on the road and in front of it. One of the greatest advantages, especially for the unsafe travelers who found themselves in Sarajevo for the first time, is the cafe bar Time from which you look directly to the platform. No chance to miss your bus! Cool, right?

The Sarajevo-Banja Luka line is only a little less than 200 km long. Daily there are four buses on this lines of the two listed carriers every day. Average journey time on the line is 5 hours and 8 minutes.
The price of a one-way ticket is about 15.18 EUR / 29 BAM, which is worth due to the mileage you have to pass, as well as the time you'll spend on the travel from Sarajevo to Banja Luka.

The Banja Luka bus station is located at Braće Podgornika. The city center is 2.8 km away, ie just a little over five minutes by car. Don't think about crossing it by foot, especially with a bag of luggage. So if you are in the absence of family and friends, call yourself a taxi.
